I started, like many enthusiasts, with a reflex system using very good Japanese cameras
which were absolutely mechanical. I was satisfied with both the cameras and the lenses,
but... I sensed that I still had not found my “ideal tool”. The first time I put my eye behind
the viewfinder of a Leica M, I understood immediately that this was the beginning of a new era for me.
Moreover, and this was an important factor for me since I am very short-sighted, the rangefinder
solved in an optimal and definitive way many of the problems which had tormented me in the past.
Since I started using Leica M cameras I have used nothing else. For my kind of photography I find the compactness,
quietness and discreetness, and quality of this system, to be ideal.I have used and I own several lenses, but those which
I use almost exclusively and which I love in a particular way are Summilux M 35mm Asph,
Summicron M 50 mm and Apo Summicron M 90 mm Asph. As far as films are concerned, I take pictures
almost exclusively with Kodak Tri X 400. If less sensitivity is required, I like Kodak T Max 100
and Agfa APX 100. I never use flash.Since I do not do my own printing, for many years now
I have been a regular and very satisfied customer of the professionalblack and white
